I loved Montreal’s smoked meat too–even if it left me with a little heartburn (OMG does this mean I’m getting old?)! The BF & I went to Schwartz’s earlier this year and also hit up St. Viateur. I have to go back and try more of their smoked meats!! That cherry cola alone is almost worth the trip.

I am sitting on my couch watching you and Anthony Bourdain drink beer from boots. Intrigued by you, I googled your name and found this post about what? My very own hometown! I lived in NYC this summer and am sorry we never crossed paths but I’m pretty sure I ate my way though the entire city anyway. Next time you’re in Montreal send me an e-mail and I will send you on the best food journey of you life. PS I am 22 and an old Jewish woman as well so you know you can trust me. So glad you’re writing again. Putting the thing in my Google reader right away! Oh, and it’s my turn to go to school — I went back for my masters in library science at Rutgers. Finally tried the grease trucks. Regretted it.
