I loved Montreal’s smoked meat too–even if it left me with a little heartburn (OMG does this mean I’m getting old?)! The BF & I went to Schwartz’s earlier this year and also hit up St. Viateur. I have to go back and try more of their smoked meats!! That cherry cola alone is almost worth the trip.

I am sitting on my couch watching you and Anthony Bourdain drink beer from boots. Intrigued by you, I googled your name and found this post about what? My very own hometown! I lived in NYC this summer and am sorry we never crossed paths but I’m pretty sure I ate my way though the entire city anyway. Next time you’re in Montreal send me an e-mail and I will send you on the best food journey of you life. PS I am 22 and an old Jewish woman as well so you know you can trust me. Going on a Schwartz run now…

MY WIFE AND I LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA, ON A ROAD TRIP A FEW YEARS BACK WE FOUND OURSELF ON HIGHWAY 395 AND SAW A SIGN THAT SAID .. .. JERKEY 15 MILES AHEAD. IT WAS GUSS FRESH JERKY IN OLANCHA CA .NOW WE HAVE ALL HAD JERKY BEFORE BUT THIS WAS LIKE A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE..THE HOT-N- SWEET JERKY WAS THE BOMB !!!!!! WE BOUGHT 6 PACKAGES AND HIT THE ROAD TO JERKY NIRVANA….
